Any experiences with two HVX?

Uhm, describe coördinate... Should they have the same look: copy the scene file over SD-card.
Same timecode: Let the TC run in free-run and sync them with a firewire connection.
Or do you mean something else?

Oliver,

Yes. I meant synching the TC; but if you are using the firewire for that, then how can you utilize the firewire for capturing footage to PC?

I believe you can also synch via the remote on the camera and probably through the menu system.... I'm going to be doing something similar.. so I'll check up through the manual and online..

Well, if you let the timecode run in free-run you only need the firewire connection to sync them. Once they're synced they should keep the sync on their own. Mind you I'm not 100% sure the HVX does this. But since the dvx-100B does it, I figured the HVX does aswell.

the hvx200 does sync through firewire. I have shot many multi cam projects (hvx200) which I sync'd the time codes. It is far from being accurate. The drift begins immediately 1 - 2 frames after 30 mins. Verified by digital camera. I do not know the drift rate beyond that, but I assume it gets a lot worse. I have not edited our footage and will update shortly.

Hey ddent,

What are you trying to say? That you two HVX cannot be used? Please forgive me for being newbe. I already have one HVX, and I am buying another one soon. If you cannot synch them reliably, how can you use them together? What am I missing?
