Any body using IndiFocus with GH1.

Hello Friends,

I'm thinking about getting the indiFocus for GH1.

Anybody using it?

I have no idea how it works so I have few questions.

Will it mount on any tripod or I will need some extra mount to get it on tripod?

Will I need the indiRail to mount the indiFocus on or is it independent in itself to be used as it is sold on the site.

I'm new to video stuff and the camera accessories, any help will be appreciated.

You need a rail system, any standard 15mm rails will do but the indifocus ones are nice and cheap.

The Indifocus 20 is probably next on my list after I get the Indifcous DSLRsm and test my friend's follow focus out with it to see how well I like it.

I would really love to see a review of indifocus 20 from a GH1 user at some point though before I buy...may have to take plunge anyway ;)
 
I purchased an indifocus a year ago for a show shooting on my HVX. They never used it, and it has been collecting dust ever since. As soon as my GH1 arrives I'll be using it & I'll let you know how it goes.
 
I believe it's the pro. There was only one model when I purchased a year ago.

The guy running the company back then said he was developing a remote follow focus to go with it, which I've not seen. I would love to get that for my steadicam work.
 
These are all questions you should ask indiFocus when you call and order.

That being said, yes, the tripod plate will bolt to the bottom of the rails setup, and then your follow focus will mount on the rails. You will need gears for your lenses. Some should come with the follow focus, but make sure to order extras for all your lenses, unless you want to waste time swapping the gears every time you change your lens.
