1DC: Any 1DC C-Log LUTS?

Hello community,

Are there any official Canon 1DC C-Log LUTS available for download? Searched high and low but couldn't find any. Apparently Canon had some on their website at some point, but I cannot find any trace of them.

Thanks!
Omar

I don't have a direct answer to your question, but in my experience, outside of film emulation packages, manufacturers typically provide a Log to Rec 709 LUT. And I personally don't know of a faster way to sabotage your footage...

Film emulation LUTs often take much greater care in not throwing all your Log detail straight out of the window.

What I did most of the time was just lower the shadows a bit, add some midtone saturation and perhaps a little bit of a curve depending on how contrasty the footage was. I do most work in FCPX and there I can save a preset of what ever my default settings are for daylight and tungsten.

Even if you are in another software like PrPro or Resolve you can do similar things there.

What kind of LUT are you looking for?

Thanks for the info Andree. I wasn't looking for any LUT in particular, just wanted to see if Canon provided any at all, even a Log to 709 look. I shoot a lot on Sony as well and they have some pre existing LUTs that mimic certain looks, so was just curious if Canon had any. I am sure there are probably a lot of custom made LUTS floating around out there.
