Any 130/160 owners willing to volunteer for a camera test, shooting an opera at USC? This Thursday-Saturday at 8pm, or Sunday at 2pm... I'm looking primarily to evaluate the 160/130 as a wide-shot camera for theatrical productions, to see how much more I can manipulate it in post than the HMC150.. also, to see highlight and low-light (at the same time!) performance...

You'll get to see the opera (The Magic Flute), and we'll be able to post some nice comparisons here!

Send me a PM!

Cheers,
Barry

I'd say that 10 minutes during one of the primary scenes would make for a great wide test.

That wouldn't be bad, but more than that would be better... there are a lot of different lighting situations throughout the piece and I'm hoping to capture them all. I mean, we got pretty near pitch black with small flashlights, harsh spotlights, extremely dim scenes, lightning flashes, drastic backlighting, smoke effects with different lighting, twinkling stars, red-only and blue-only scenes... not all within ten minutes, or even within the same act... and I'm hoping to run through a few different exposures and gammas, and maybe color matrices, for these...

Are you volunteering, Gary?

C'mon, don't let it be the end if an era… this would be the first time in 8 years that I've called out to DVXUsers for help and didn't get it!
