A beautiful, abandoned old wagon, just in front of the Sony dealer's offices in Rome... what a surprise!
I spent about one hour inside it after my FS7 presentation (smelly and awfully hot wagon, but I'm still alive ^_^).
Camera: Sony PXW-FS7
Gamma: S-Log 3
Lens: Canon CN-E 15.5 - 47 mm.
Grading: Film Convert
Music: Temporizing / Marina Baranova, Moritz Bintig

Hey,

somebody wrote the name of the camera on the table.
Was that years ago?

Again, nice footage, graded to perfection. Bravo!

Lovely again Fillppo, thank you very much.
I was zonering about the shot with the windows. How bright was it outside - overcast or sunny and were the windows tinted ? Doesn't look like it. Camera held the outdoors very naturally.

I think I may not be alone in thinking that the official promo for the camera should have looked more like this!!! Does the job for me.

The INT shots are great

Being super nit picking Im not sure about the int/outside - I could see it going flouro on a sunny day - although Im less bothered about flouro highlights than I was having descoverd say vs lum curve in Resolve :)

Very nice footage. One thing that would be useful to me is to see the same shot in downconverted UHD as this is, and straight to HD, side by side, to see if it is worthwhile to shoot in UHD or 4k and then convert to HD, or just shoot HD.

If it's as close to the F5 as I imagine, you'll be able to just shoot HD. 1080p from the F5 is razor sharp, I'm throwing a tonne of diffusion at mine, shooting wide-open to make things milkier and the damn thing still has fine detail for days. I can't imagine you'll be able to squeeze any additional detail into a 1080p frame by downconverting, I think the proverbial bucket is already full.

No gels on the windows, they were dirty.
The weather was unsettled (sometimes sunny, sometimes a little bit cloudy).

Many thanks!
For sure it's much more better to shoot in UHD or 4K and then convert to HD.

Thanks Grug, That sounds like what I saw on the FS700>7Q 4K2HD downconvert from 4K Raw. Just what I'm hoping for from the FS7. Tons of detail but clean looking - naturally there even with detail in the camera off. I am curious what kind of diffusion you've found to be effective without calling attention to itself and what situations you use it for. Aso do you typically leave any Detail- On in the Camera set-up. ( I'm guessing no).
