Another DVX vs XL2 question, but wait!!!!

Anyway, good luck with the project.
Every one is a learning experience and I think that's part of what draws and holds us in this craft.
The challenge of problem solving, inovating, inventing,----getting the right and left brain hooked up and cooking!
The proof is in the pudding.

the dvx is a much better camera. xl2 is not very ergonomic and everything is menu driven. the way it is designed is counter-intuitive to the way that larger video format cameras are designed. the only thing it has going for it is the changeable lense. to that i say get a wide angle adaptor.

what ever camera you use do an internet search for $18 steadycam. a really great idea

DVX vs XL2

When using the XL2, I noticed that the servo zoom is not very smooth comapred to the DVX. If you will be shooting interviews and leaving the zoom untouched, I also noticed that the camera will take you out of focus sometimes while shooting. Go with the DVX and you will love the final product. The DVX is so much more versatile and you can use it for almost anything.
