FS7: Another Baseplate/Shoulder pad/Rig thread for FS7 thread

I have used this french flag most often when doing steadicam shots. Great for shaving weight and you can bend it into the place where you really need to mask light spill.

Also costs 1/20th the price of a mattebox.

There are several versions of this flag. One with a grip clamp and another with a cardellini clamp. The plastic knuckles break apart with a bit of force so you can shorten the plastic snake. It stays in position once bent. Always carry one in my equipment vehicle on shoot days.

I bolt mine onto the top handle when using it in steadicam config.

The only shot I've seen of the Movcam option

this is not a final Movcam option. The plate shown here is the plate used for F5/55 vct14 mount. They are working on product now and I hope to see early prototype this week.

How does one attach those Movcam rosette extenders tightly? I purchased one but I can't figure out how to attach it firmly to the rosette on the body of the Fs7. I tightened the center bolt as far as it would go but the rosette is still loose. It appears to be bottoming out on the Fs7's rosette before it becomes snug. I was wanting the spacer so that it would allow the extension arm to move into a more upward position. Out of the box the arm hits against the body when you try to move the arm above horizontal.

Are there little screws to remove the rosette (to access the bolt that is too long)? If so, Arri rosettes use an M6 bolt. You may be able to remove the bolt and get a shorter bolt from a hardware store.

Im making myself (diy) a new top handle and EVF arm - EVF arms should be square to keep the EVF level - my arm gets it out a little which is good as Im a 'left eye'

Also possibly of wider interest (ie I could get a load made!) Ive started playing with a simple screen shade from thin high quality ply-wood!

I hope to look at this today. The spacers in this case are bolted to the Movcam plate. It is possible that the camera rosette does not have as deep a thread. If this is the case we may see other extenders and spacers having this similar issue on the camera mounted rosette.

Same, although if it is anything like their Aja Cion option (and the prototype pic was) all the weight of the camera/lens will be on the mounting screw ports which I'm not sure is ideal.

That tilta setup is slick. Its what the camera would have looked like if it were native Vmount.

I'm glad I ordered the Berkley top plate as the other top plates don't seem to give enough clearance width to be useful. It should arrive this next week.

I think i just need to accept the camera needs the extension unit to be properly handheld. In which case i think i want the tilta stuff but not the battery plate

Just heard back from CineGearPro/Tilta. The "Quick Release Baseplate" (Shouldermount) will retail for £375 ($588) + VAT = £450 ($705) and weighs 325g vs the Vocas which is $1,072 and weighs 600g.

EDITED- I originally said '375Euro'. My apologies for any confusion.
