This is a placeholder for the upcoming BEC-TEK-01 Tekkeon Battery Holder System that my company co-designed for the Tekkeon MP3450 & MP3300 Battery Packs. This is a modular below the camera carry container that will attache to the 1/4X20 bottom bushing and also interface with a tripod plate or head - via another 1/4X20 bottom plate. The system is stackable- meaning that any number of modular battery compartments may be combined in layers one on top of another in 'sandwich' fashion to allow for one, two or more batteries to be layered beneath a camera.
ADVANTAGES OF THE BEC-TEK-1
- Frees up space on your main bracket for other peripherals
- Allows for sub-camera field carry of the tabletop useable Tekkeon Batteries.
- Allows for one or more batteries to be stacked.
EXAMPLE- This would allow you to run the camera from one battery, a light from another and an external monitor from a third battery. Alternatively, you can use double carriers to house the MP3450 & MP3450-10 for a piggyback battery pair that double run times to one device. The possibilities are numerous.
BRANDING
BEC-TEK-01 Tekkeon Battery Holder System will be co-branded by BEC Group and Tekkeon. BEC Group will handle all sales, Imago Media will manage marketing, PR and Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
For more information on pricing and availability- please refer to this thread on a periodic basis. This posting will be duplicated in other relevant Camcorder Forums.:hv20-smilie70:

The prototype carriers arrived today and that the system works perfectly!
Allows for single, double or triple Tekkeon MP3450 batteries to be mounted beneath a camcorder and then for mounting to a tripod or other 1/4X20 threaded head below.
The fit of battery into the compartment is surrealistically perfect, with just enough room for insertion & removal but without play that would cause the battery to slide out inadvertently. The gauge of aluminum is sturdy enough so as not to allow deformation of the case or to damage inserted batteries when a heavy camera is mounted over head (we'll have to determine the actual top weight limit for final press release). Now it's being photographed. More reports to come later!

Pricing will be:
Per Tekkeon carrier - $80.00
Per set of top & bottom mounting plates - $60
All screws & a special driver are included.
So if you just want to mount one Tekkeon Battery under your rig via 1/4X20 it will cost $140 plus shipping.
You can piggy-back as many carriers to each other as you want for $80 each. Also be aware that they offer hardware for hotshoe mounting or adaptation to BEC or Bracket-1 one brackets. The possibilities are endless. The fit on the Tekkeon is tops!
The beauty of it is:
- It takes additional weight off the sides or top of the rig, where it can throw it off balance. Bottom mounted you barely notice a difference in weight handheld and it actually makes for smoother pans on tripod.
- Because you can stack the batteries. It allows for very long Camera runtimes or run two or more peripherals - from separate batteries.
- Mount the box somewhere else if you prefer. Another tripod or stand or clamp it to the host tripod.
- Use one or two batteries as the bottom ballast of a Poorman's Steadycam instead of a dumbell.
The possibilities are endless!
-----
Here's how it works.
The parts:
-Each modular box contains top & bottom pre-drilled holes for attaching top & bottom plates
- Top plates are precision drilled T6 aluminum that contain a slotted bolt (male) with 1/4X20 thread for mating with your camera. They also contain a set screw for anti-twist.
- Bottom plates just have the 1/4X20 female bushing for mating with your tripod head or head mounting plate.
The procedure for mounting
A- first screw the camera plate onto the camera it will have 4 flat-head 'positioning' and attachment screws already sticking out of it.
B- Aligning the positioning screws into the 'keyholes' located in the top of the box, you then use the special screw driver (included) to lock the box onto the top plate.
C- attach the bottom plate using 4 screws that are indexed to threaded holes in the bottom of the box and tighten with the included screw driver.
D- attach your quick-release tripod plate and you're ready to hand-hold or quickly mount your rig. Alternatively, attach the box with no top plate using the bottom plate to anything (such as a bracket, stand etc) that has a male 1/4 bolt.
TO USE IN TANDEM
If you want to double up two Tekkeon 3450's (NOT a 3450 and 3450-10) as shown- simply attach the second box to the first using the keyhole > positioning screws system, accessing the screws with the special screwdriver.
NOTE: 3450 and 3450-10 mating is NOT possible with this system (a correctly sized 'big' box is in the works).

You see, the boxes are plain, with no way to actually mount them to anything but each other. you need at least one top plate to camera interface and at least a bottom plate for interface with 1/4X20 bolt.
EXAMPLE: One battery on camera with no tripod mount
- one top plate + one box Cost = $80 + $30 TOTAL $110
EXAMPLE: One battery on camera with tripod mount
- one top plate + one box +one bottom plate Cost = $80 + $60 TOTAL $140
EXAMPLE: Two 3450 batteries on camera with tripod mount
- one top plate + two boxes Cost = $160 + $60 TOTAL $220

I hope that helps.
For those of you that don't know, the Tekkeon 3450 to 3450-10 'piggyback' clamps actually create an electrical as well as physical contact between the host 3450 and the supplementary 3450-10 'dumb cell'.
We simply haven't gotten far enough along in developing this system to make a box with a big compartment to house the two mated batteries yet. In time.

Hi.
I might be interested in this product. Will it also hold the newer Tekkeon MP3700? According to the Tekkeon website the MP3700 is slightly thinner than MP3450 and MP3300 (.89" to .90").

Latest on this and answers to old questions ( sorry been SOOOO busy)
The red hood is a Cokin P350
The lens is a Raynox HD 6600
The production holders now have a cool etched Tekkeon Logo on them. I have no clue about the 3700 Batteries but it's not something that would be difficult to pad.

This is not DIY quality but machine fabrication from heavy duty T6 Aluminum that has been heat-crinkle coated black. Compartments are professionally felt lined and batteries slip in easily but are friction 'locked' till you decide to take them out. The battery does not simply slide out by accident! Manufactured for us by The BEC Group, fabricators of custom cases for HDD, wireless receivers and now the Tekkeon 3450.
