If you were an Anime character in real life it would take you hours to charge up for a single special move to accomplish even the most simple task. Shot 1080 @ 30p then slowed 80% to 24p, brought into Twixtor and at the slowest brought it down another 40%.

surprisingly smooth!

the funny thing is that it reminds me a lot of ong bak 2-- which is to say ramping to ad naseum :-P

NEXT ON DBZ: GOKU FINISHES CHARGING!!!!

Thanks everyone

Glad I saw this - entertaining and useful test too. Hmm. Twixtor. Hmmm.

Yeah Twixtor is pretty cool. Especially when you use it with hacked GH13 60p footage. Since there is lots of actual detail to work with it handles it amazingly well. Next vid we do we are using this method with the GH-1.

What version of Twixtor were you using? I've had mediocre results with v4.5 and haven't been too impressed.

I've used 4.5 in the past, it's ok, you really have to be very selective with shots and shoot them so as not to disrupt movement too much and it works much better if you have slower footage already. For this I used v5, can't tell how much better it is yet though.
