Just got the Kamerar QV-1. $67.00.
I realized I was jumping through all kinds of hoops to get my Swivi centered (the way it mounts puts your body off-center 15mm) for my rigs with a matte box.
Not a bad loupe at all. No distortion to speak of. Can't use it with a grip ala the swivi (no grips for video for me, hate 'em) (love 'em for stills). But no up-down sliders for the grip means all your buttons are completely accessible. Pops off via a strong... strong recessed magnet. Adjusts side to side & up-down, enough to fit most cameras. Window height is maybe 4mm too short for the D7100, but you lose a couple millimeters of display, not live area. No biggie. NO STICKY GLUE-ASS MAGNET THINGS, hooray.
The baseplate is steel, and it is ALSO A MANFROTTO RELEASE PLATE. So if you use manfrotto tripods (or like me have a half dozen of their ubiquitous QR systems or carbon versions from CMP)... it slides right in. Kinda cool. Also has 3/8 & 1/4 holes.
Focus is adjustable but really doesn't adjust much. I've had zero problems with any loupes I've owned as far as focus, even the Cavision fixed-lens stuff has been fine, YMMV.
It's tough, flips up, snaps off, keeps the camera centered, uses no adhesive plates, and it's under 70 bucks. Thought I was taking one for the team, but dang - not bad at all.
