"Analog"

Extremely good movie I seriously cannot say enough good things about it. It was the only one that really got to me emotionally. Terrific acting, well shot, and I absolutely love the opening shot of the tape. Only thing I didn't like as much was the girl at the end. it just felt sort of forced or out of place.

Wow. This moved me.

Strong stuff. You dealt with lots of issues here - why does God allow evil, how to believe in Him when this world is so full of ****, the meaning of love -

This is in my top ten. Thank you for making it. I'll make sure to give my gf a loooooong hug tonight.

Thank you.

Gabe,
You got it man the whole feeling of this film moved me beyond even any feature I have seen in a long time and I worked on it. Lucky for me Tristan is very secretive and I didn't get to watch any of it till it was done. Man I have watched it a number of times and I still find it touching each and every time. None of us really knows what is in store for us and today could very well be our last day alive. So more then anything I think it makes us think about how lucky we are to be alive and should live each day to its fullest. This is probably my favorite film this fest.

Deep stuff. Beautifully shot. Beautifully acted. We like to make movies with a lot of FX and action but it's important to remember sometimes to tell a story and to touch people on a deeper level...this film touched me on a deeper level because I've been almost exactly where he was. I lost a girl I loved and spent a long time in a guilt cycle. This movie speaks to me and I think that's something that Hollywood often overlooks. Thanks for making this.

Wow! I am so proud to be a part of this film. I love you Tristan :)

Hey guys. I've been away from the threads a bit this last week, so some tardy replies, but: Wow, thanks so much for all the comments, guys!

Champloo, way cool of you to stop by and say what you did. I'm really happy and honored to hear that this affected people. I'm sorry to hear you went through that. Rough stuff. Thanks again, though. Really means a lot to get that kind of feedback.

Also, I'm stoked to hear some interest in checking out the musicians who contributed to this - Chris Nelson and Kate Micucci. I'm hoping to use them again in the next fest. Either way though, you should check out the rest of their stuff. Really, really, really, super good stuff.

Dude. Thanks! Right back at you.

Hey, what are the chances of you making a trip out to Colorado and working on a snowy (Alpine thriller) LossFest entry with me? ... C'mon. Do it.

:D :D :D I'll have to consult with my lovely wife, but how does some time in December sound? I betcha we could save up some money and make it out there. Although I don't know if we can drive our Saturn through snow...

Hey everybody,

I finally put some finishing touches on this a got it a lot closer to what I originally had in mind. Most of the credit for this goes to Jeremiah Rounds who did the VFX work for the new appearance shots.

I entered it in a festival in which placing in the top ten (out of 100) will get me a $30,000 grant to make another short. So if any of you all want to check out the new version and vote, I'd be stoked and very appreciative.

Though if you plan on voting (please, please...), I recommend registering first (sorry), so you don't have to watch it again to vote.
Check out this thread for more details, if you're interested.

Thanks so much.

Ok, I voted and also commented on it. I hope you will place in the top ten, because I really like 'Analog'. All the best and much luck.
