Always hire professionals.

I'm amazed at how "solid" the regular-joe camera op has become. These days it's not uncommon to see something that should have made a "friend" put down (drop?) the cam as they run to help, or get help... and yet now... amazingly... almost everybody gets the shot... right to the bitter end.

That fact alone almost makes me want to laugh at this... but this stupid stunt is beyond that. I hate to see people suffer... even if they bring it on themselves. That guy is hurt.

The thing kids don't realize about stupid stuff like this... is these things usually end up hurting that person for the rest of their lives! Welcome to the wonderful world of irreversible chronic back pain kiddo...

Oh yeah, his back is fubar for sure. I was surprised at the camera op also... What did he do... yell out, "He's hurt...". That is caring, huh?

Ugh, I hate videos like this. It reminds me of the airbag prank video that was in the Cafe several months ago.

I'm with Matt. I hate seeing real people really get injured.

But this is not like the airbag thing.
These guys had a fully mattress-protected truck to land in.

Simple geometry and basic physics were in play here....

Just AIM FOR THE TRUCK!

I agree. This was the guys own stupidity in a Jackass type stunt. The airbag thing was a prank done TO someone unknowingly.

I always find Funniest Home Videos disturbing when a tiny little kid has a decent accident and the parent keeps filming. Guess that $500 is more important than your kids broken neck.

It's not the fact that someone willingly undertook this stunt, it's that I just can't stand seeing people receive major injuries. It upsets me.

This is just me.

I broke my back landing on my ass from 10 feet.....smashed 2 vertebrae.....was thrown off a crazy horse´s back.....it was hard for me to watch this!
I know EXACTLY what pain the guy has....
This was 12 years ago and I still have pain 24/7/365....

"He's broke his back or something, he's hurt." Kind of makes me wonder which one is the biggest dumb @ss.

That was an act of pure stupidity. And yes...... I blame "jackass" and those types of shows for putting the ideas in what is obviously an empty head.

There is a reason stuntmen get paid good money. They understand timing and physics. And know if they screw it up, they will pay dearly for the mistake.

I get the feeling, he just retired as an amateur stuntman because of his new master's level education in "hard knocks"
