All files captured in LOCATION need to be rendered. PAL user

When I capture my files in On location and then bring them into premier pro cs3
their is always a red render bar on the timeline and I have to render the files
first as the quality is unwatchable, This takes ages , I understood that the files
filmed with HVX 200 should go into premier pro natively with no need to render.
Have I got a wrong setting somewhere or is this the case when you use PAL.

Someone please help as this process renders ON LOCATION usless and the
HVX 200 does not come up to scratch..

Regards.. michael.

I´m in the same boat.

and even worse!

Last sunday I shoot the whole day with OnLocation. 4 Hours of material.

Started editing in CS3 (cause I have to render anyways because of CC).

Imported a bunch of clips and Cs3 said most of them are invalid/broken.

DUH!

Imported one after an other - that works.

When I open the project again CS3 chrashes.

That was reproductable.

Made a new a DVCProHD project
Imported the Onlocation clips (one by one)
Editing - Save - Close - Open again

CHRASH! That sucks!

Ended up to convert every clip to Cineform.

Something went major wrong here.

I don´t know what OnLocation does with the HVX clips but it`s od.
In the manual they also recommend strange Premiere settings PAL DVCProHD like lower field first .

Hey Frank, i've just instaled On Location and the minute i choose HVX200 as my prefered device, it crashes.
What to do?
is there a preference that has to be organized berfore using OL with PAL HVX?

Not that I know. I can throw almost anything I got to Onlocation via FW and it works. (sadly it is not recognizing the Black Magic card).

Maybe thet helps:

Hold down both the Shift and Ctrl keys (Shift+Ctlr) and launch Adobe OnLocation CS3. Continue holding Shift+Ctrl until the application has opened.

What version you got?
