Hey whats up, I am fairly new to shooting and a few months ago I pieced together my second reel with all of the dvx footage I shot throughout the past year. The compression may be a little much at times(timelapse at the end and wedding footage) but hopefully its good for a watch.

and here is the final composite of the greenscreen of the girl

Very Nice . I like the beats . One Question that I have is what is the secret for making the clouds move like that on the last shot . I would love to know the step by step procedure to do that ?

after effects time/CC wide time in the pro ver 6.5 in conjunction with time remapping.

backward steps to "7"

forward steps to "1"

Any further ques let me know

HAHA... yeah I think that song is on the SSX tour, its pretty mainstream come to think of it but its a goody!

I like the shots. They're all looking good. However, I felt that the pace of the video was too slow. Try to add more footage or mix up the footage you have. You may want the pace to be slow; it is your reel. I just believe you could hold ones attention longer if it were cut faster.

Yea you had some nice shots but to me it looked like point and shoot and press record. I didnt really see anything that was creative or anything that had me say WOW how did he do that or WOW that was a hot shot. Maybe the timelapse clouds was about the only thing that jumped at me. You shot the guy against the green screen but didnt show the end result that was keyed in behind him.

What is your web address?
And was there an e-mail addy there too?

Make them last longer on the end. With a demo that is ALL that matters, you want them to call or e-mail you. Make sure your contact information is prevelant.

As for teh rest of the video, there are definatly some shots there that last too long and lack meaning.. The tild down of the ocean looked great, untill the tilt stopeed and I was left wondering what I was looking at.

Some really nice looking footage in there though :)

I played that at my friends last night, and I swear I love all of the tracks. Mostly the "Style Tracks" (hip-hop).

I'm sorry to be a dumbass -- I like the footage and all, as others have said -- but that one male dancer with the hula skirt made me think of The Big Lebowski, the landlord's interpretive dance piece.

Come to think of it, I guess all male dances in skirts make me think of that guy.

the performance footage is quite good, but the pacing is a little slow, something I am always guilty of...but good work nonetheless

Right on:

It does drag a bit but it is trying to reach more wider spectrum by not being so in your face montage-esk. I wanted to show versatility in different types of genres(weddings, greenscreen, doc, theater, timelapse) and not so much a style aspect.

Someone asked if they could see the finished composite of the greenscreen, that was a good point, I'll prob add that next time but feel free to check it out in my vfx reel:
