Alexa's website

The first two lines sound like a bat.

The last few lines sound like you were up too late. :)

Not sure about the connection with the riddle, but I felt as though the wedding videos needed to be cut (killed). Your website looks like it is more geared towards commercial clients. The wedding videos, although beautiful and professional and I'm sure a money maker, just don't fit well. Maybe you should have a seperate site for that aspect of your business.

Thanks for bringing that up. Later this afternoon, probably 4 pm PST, I'll do a round of responses. But no, that's not the riddle answer:)

Hey, is this like a Rorscharch test?
No, just testing your noodles :)

omg, I've been cutting approximately 1 shot every 20 minutes. I'm a slug today. David, that "ugly bag of water thing" with your avatar is SO funny. Makes me laugh all the time.

All I've noticed about David J. is that he's quickly approaching 10,000 posts and he better have something to show for it!

great photo on the intro page... I need something coool like that.
Thanks. The photo was taken by P. Jones. www.peterzjones.com. It was his on-the-spot idea. We were on a break during a clothes change for a shoot and he said, “Let’s try something…” That photo became the centerpiece of the brand, “Me.” Yah, that sounds vain and all, but YOU and what you can bring to the table is what gets hired. Once you have a decent photo or logo, etc. to represent you (and it does not have to be exactly YOU), you can use it a lot.

I think overall still photographers are miles ahead of us in terms of marketing their craft. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is not a hard thing to learn. Pick up some books, "The Brand You," I think is one. Perhaps it is because we are always spending so much $$ on the equipment? Who knows.

Of course, now that you've changed your name, this explains much -- I saw a post from "Alexa" earlier, and I thought, "how does someone rack up 1,000 posts and I've never seen her before?"
I would like to collaborate with others in the future and to meet someone and say, “Hi, I’m Pooh,” isn’t my idea of a good impression anymore.

Very slick site, and way cool videos on there too.
One tad bit of feedback - it would be nice to be able to pause the videos to have time to read the text. The videos are just too good to miss for reading!

Hmm. Two issues there we’ve thought about and will continue to do so. I don’t want a bunch of buttons around, so I kept the videos short. Perhaps a “pause” wouldn’t hurt? We’ll see. It won’t look as pretty though ☹

Did the videos play well for y’ll? If they didn’t maybe it was the server being busy or the processing speed on your computer is low.

I would have a ton of tips on how to get ready for website production, feel free to ask if you want. But one thing I will say is to have your clips and copy FINALIZED. Every written word is as important as the visuals you show, too. I spent a lot of time writing. It takes a long time to get everything ready, much longer than I thought. You want everything perfect and then it is a pain for the designer to keep switching out old and new versions.

I guess you are talking about the “walk-out.” Do you like that? Does it “chug” on your computer on initial play? If so, what browser is being used?

Adam’s (www.cambridgeomnimedia.com) idea again. I learned a lot about chroma key with that, but I’m glad. I rented everything and bought some stuff by mistake. I almost do not consider the result usable, but I guess it works for now. I might reshoot it someday on an HVX. The remote control I had in my hand actually “disappeared” while pulling the matte. So did my lips, you can tell. What you see in my hand is NOT the remote, but a LINE I made with a matte.

Good point. I think you have to be extremely careful not to hurt yourself by showing wedding work on a site that is intended for other clients, too. People can be picky and snobby. In the next year, I’m sure I’ll add other categories and maybe that one will get the boot. I have only seen the mix a few times where showing wedding work wasn’t distracting. I’m not sure if I’m pulling it off, but I wanted the videos in “Personal” to be there because I’m still open to this genre. It is hard to walk away from, you know. I’ve had amazing clients, many of which I continue to keep in touch with. It is great exposure. It is also excellent business experience, for the right personality and attitude. BUT it takes an incredible to amount of time to produce on the high end.

One to add: I wish I had a downloadable reel together, but one thing at a time and I'm not even ready, content wise, for it. I think that is pretty important.

Thanks for your compliments and feedback.

Agreed. Nice that you have such a sharp photo of you there. I would be 10 times more likely if I was in your town, to say, “Hmm. What’s Anhar up to?” just because you have such a picture. Thanks for saying hi
.

Thanks, Rich. Great new photos. I’ve kept some webpages on a monitor just to look over at here and there. You always have stellar composition.

Rick, you were pretty damn, far off.
I can’t give any clues because you already have my poetry ( LOL).

Ok. ok, I changed my mind. You won't find the answers in any of the main Videos. So stop looking there for that.

That sounds about right, Stan.

Alex - I am using the latest IE broswer, no problems on viewing. Your phone #
means you're near me, I'm in Santa Cruz. We really need to do a get together
this fall.

"Fix in Post," I say
like they were trying to get good sound on location but the Cicadas were screaming in the background ... you couldn't fix it much in post, but people would say that anyway.

When or if, tomorrow? Today?
So i get the "if" part because it's not likely, but not necessarily the when, tomorrow, or today bit
