Wait, the 100b came with a 63 min. MQ? My 100a did not come with any MQs or head cleaning tape, only a blank tape, which I couldn't figure out the use for...

Could someone explain to me what the blank tape is for, and if the 100a was "supposed" to come with an MQ / PQ tape?

At the risk of sounding obvious...

I assume the blank tape is to record onto.... with the camera.... that it came with.

The HVX should handle SD quite well ... in fact, much better than any other 1/3" camera due to being able to shoot DVCPRO50 (according to the specs, at least).

Nobody knows whynot the dvx 100 europe versinon record in 24p?

No PAL/Europe version of the DVX can record 24p. The Pal/Europe models shoot 25p and 50i only.
 
Sorry, jeez, I should just stick to US models, I coulda sworn they could do 24p. That's the end of my PAL penpal relationship. It's over! :)
 
I now my camera DVX100AE cant record in 24p :beer:
I dont think DV, DVpro or DVproHD ever can do it

I think the HVX is going to change a lot of things. I just finally saw some 24p on the NTSC machine at the Panasonic Launch, and Ay Caramba.... Smooth as silk.
 
Thanks, Barry. I didn't realize they were shipping (obviously). B & H still has the phrase "Accepting Orders" on their page, except for the PAL version. I guess they sold out of their first batch.
