Is there a downloadable user manual available for the AC160 and HPX250? My searches have come up empty.

Sorry guys, we are caught in a website upgrade with the edict that nothing new can be loaded to the page. And my rants have made no impact. If you need the US version, send your email address to me in a PM and I will do a group upload on yousendit.com for you, say sometime on Saturday.

Best,

jan

Unfortunately we are still caught up in the space between the old website and the new. If you need a PDF of the manual, please feel free to send me a PM and I will load one up to the Yousendit site. And Noah the yousendit site works for me as I have to work through a firewall most of the time and the Dropbox doesn't work on the firewall side of my life.

Best,

Jan

Until they are put up on the Panasonic site, here are the US versions of the 130 and 160 manuals from Jan:

I also have the European version of the HPX250 manuals. I'll try to get the US version to replace them shortly.

Thank you. I want to make sure I did face detect correct. I went to user 2 button, and set face detect as my option. Is that the best way to do face detect?
Just got my ac130. :)
So I am setting up things.
Anyone else have favorite settings you choose over the default settings.
And I have a silly question, but have to ask, when would you use back lighting?

Backlighting...used with the auto iris function on a shot that is backlit. Spotlight is the opposite function. It basically balances the auto iris to keep the subject from blowing out (spot) or disappearing into the shadows (back).
