AC90: AG-AC 90 focusing issue....need help

Good morningI want to ask a simple question to all of you regarding my Panny AG-AC90 focusing nightmare during live events.
I shot a wedding this weekend and focusing with this cam on the go is very difficult in manual mode.
I've tried auto also but it seemed like hunting a lot and turning back to manual.......the focus readings showed me 55,75,80,99....etc in short intervals so I went back to manual.
Red peaking is a joke in low light and with the DJ lights is useless.
I turned my viewfinder to no colour (black and white) and it didn't help a lot.
Luckily I had two other cams......SONY CX 900 where everything is so easy and it's doing a great job in low light + the focus peaking is very strong .
Is there a focus assist or something to facilitate focusing with this cam or I have to sell it ?
It's still under warranty and I'm going to lose a lot of money if it will be on the market.....plus it impresses people when you shoot live events.
The AG-AC 90 is like new..... Couple of hours of filming.

Thanks

Surprising that putting the viewfinder to b/w did not help.

I have an AG-AC160A, an older cam, so the focusing may/may not be similar.

My cam does hunt somewhat when you go from very close to far as illustrated in the clip below.

The church, by the way, is the Oka church, not too far from where you live.

Notice you can dramatically reduce the settling-in time by taking different arcs from source to target on close to far testing - problem is it's difficult to identify which arc to take and in a practical setting you might not want to take such an arc, so the finding does not have much practical value.

As for close-close changes to focus, here is another test

Notice how the foliage fairly quickly comes into focus as the model leaves the scene and again, when she comes back into the scene.

I rarely use auto-focus - most of my work focuses on interviews and stage/music performance recordings.

I highly value the 22 x zoom for recordings in theatres and churches.

If you decide to sell, talk to me first. I need a 2nd cam for use in a fixed position.

Thanks Karl
I'll keep that in mind.
Maybe a good monitor......like a small HD will help.
I have a Must HD but this one sucks also.
