i am going to ask again. any way to place diopters in front
They weren't hard to locate when I bought mine a couple months ago. I suspect Mr. Bloom is gonna make them a lot harder to acquire soon (either that or eBay's gonna flood with LA7200's after he dislikes it and buys an Isco instead, lol).
..., you can expect the LA7200 to trade for crazy prices in the future, when it goes out of stock on B&H...

Okay, so I'd been getting a lot of questions on how to attach the LA7200 to your lenses and decided to make a tutorial about it which is now online. This is a really simple thing to do once you know how to do it, but I just keep constantly getting the same questions, so hopefully this video will make all of this clear.
Teresofblood, in the video I do have a 72-77mm step-down ring, it works fine. You can pick them up at any place that sells step-up/down rings... like ebay.
Also at the end of the video is a nice test comparison between the coverage differences between the regular lens and it's anamorphized counterpart.
Hopefully I didn't leave anything out. Enjoy!
I've seen stills from a movie shot on 5DmkII and LA7200 being tacksharp troughout the whole image. The guy incidentally found the Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 being significantely better than the (supposedly better) Nikon equivalent lens he used before.
Does anyone have experience with the LA7200 with the Sigma 24-70 2.8?
I've also seen a test with and without +.5 diopter and the diopter turned the image from unusable to sharp. Did anyone had similar findings when using diopters?
I'll get a 7200 soon and will try out myself, but maybe you guys have some experience to share about this.
