C300: aftermarket batteries for C300 Mkii?

I'm sure this has been beaten to death with a stick over the pass few years but since the C200 release and now the new C500 mkii being release most of the focus are on those two cameras AND as we all know with tech always changing and getting more advance I figured I would bring it up for those of us that are still interested in the C300 mkii.

I have been looking at the batteries cost for the C300 MKii and they are still pretty costly and was wondering if there were any good aftermarket batteries that would stand in as a good replacement or would I be asking for trouble using a aftermarket product?

I have the Core SWX NanoC98 linked above -- works great. It charges with the stock Canon charger that comes with the C300 Mk II.

That's the gross one that has to be plugged into the power port on the camera though, right? I wouldn't touch that thing with a 10' pole.

I think this is the third-party battery that actually communicates with the camera through it's battery pins: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...attery_with.html/qa?SID=k5qy2de8m6000axm02fa9
I mixed up the brands, SWX and Swit. The CORE SWX functions as a stock Canon battery and has a D-Tap. The SWIT one was the medicore solution that didn't work with the battery mount pins.
