After Effects Plugin Reduces Aliasing

I tried applying "Reduce Interlace Flicker" an AE plugin found in Effect/Blur and Sharpen.
It reduces the aliasing and makes the image a bit soft giving it a filmlook. Try values 2.0 to 4.0. I'll experiment on few more footage.

Try values less less than 2.0 for a sharper image. How do you upload footage?

Don't most NLE applications have a similar tool? I could have sworn I've seen this same tool in Premiere and in Final Cut.

UPDATE: just checked in Final Cut, and it has a "de-interlace" and a "flicker filter". Anyone used either of these Final Cut filters to fix DSLR video footage?
