7D affordable rig for 7D

Was set on buying a 7D but after testing one one out I found it a bit challenging to do any hand held work with it without some sort of stabilizer (was using a 50mm with no IS).

So my question is: what would be a decent quality stabilizer or rig but at an affordable price (if there was a Redrock micro rig but with less zeroes in the price tag that be nice...)

I have indiefocus rail system from my dvx which I hope its compatible with the 7d (but no shoulder pad or follow focus).

I'm planning on using it for hand held work with a wide angle / small zoom lens (was set on buying an L lens but thinking of getting a cheaper lens and spend the extra money on stabilizing my footage)

I've been really impressed with cpmfilmtools.com... very well run business with some very innovative designs.

k well this is the one i'm getting (also cuz i'm future proofing for other camera bodies)
Free upgrade to the heavy duty rods and 10% discount cuz they are a dvxuser sponser. (u have to mention dvx something in the code...email them to be sure)Take a look around the site ...there are many things ...cages and rigs there. all cages have 4 (or more i'm not sure) threaded holes for u to attach accesories. Personally i would add the handle to the rig i posted.

And remember with rigs/cages like CPM's, it's really up to you how you configure it... it's like LEGO's for grown-ups!

wow that actually looks exactly what I'm looking for and within my budget as well

Thanks for help guys :D

Coupon Code: DVXUser.com

Gets you 10% off. If you are military or a teacher/student we have a 20% coupon. Email me for more details on the later. And any questions you might have please ask. Low cost or not a rig is a big investment and we want to make sure you get a rig that works with your style of shooting.

SIDE NOTE: We are modifying all our rail pads, the thin, medium and belly to allow customer installation of our threaded metal inserts in any of the holes. We have had a lot of requests for this. So one by one the tools are being modified and we will list up a simple package of threaded inserts, so you can custom configure the pads to meet your needs. No price change for this, should have been like this from the start.

Thanks,

Steve
