AF100 LCD screen

No, but if you want to trust the EVF for color and still use b&w w/red focus assist, you could put the LCD panel in B&W and leave the EVF in color...

My camera arrived yesterday and no matter what I do, or how badly I try to screw up the LCD controls I'm not getting green.

not only is my lcd green in 3200, it shows banding as well. there are 2 wide, subtle stripes of slightly more saturated color. Actually, my first impressions of the camera are that it is cheap. I guess I expected the build quality to be similar to a 5D. I didn't expect it to be like the old broadcast cameras, but it's extremely flimsy. the battery release switch and lcd release, the covers on the inputs, the buttons, knobs etc are all cheaper than most decent consumer gear. There's a lot of play in everything that moves.

If a consumer-grade camera can give accurate (ish) color from an LCD, there's really no excuse for this to be so bad. Something is wrong, and we shouldn't be accepting the line that hey, you shouldn't be using it for judging color. Well duh. But we should at least be seeing something close.

Great setup, was disappointed I couldn't use focus in red while checking wb/color in the evf, didn't stop to think that it worked on the LCD too. Thanks.

Hmm that is a good idea. Only won't help so much outdoors in bright sun when I mostly use the EVF for focus.

So has anyone else sent their camera off as well? I'm finding the tint variance more and more problematic, especially since the projects I'm shooting have a "we-have-no-time-to-color-correct" kinda workflow.

Back to the dealer or back to Panasonic?

Hey Barry, is the "fix" something as easy as Panasonic re-calibrating/tweaking the LCD? I saw that the LCD Panel is a chargeable repair. I'm really hoping to avoid having to purchase a new one.

I think 1.15 has the fix in it. The very first release of the AF100 had a slight greenish tint to the LCD.

Are you saying there's something actually broken with your LCD?

I think it's the issue everyone else was having, only the update didn't do the trick. I figured I could get by but I would rather it be as accurate as possible now.

Not broken, just yellow/green.
