AF[Quick] in video mode when lens is set to MF

Hi!

I use usually Manual Focus during video shooting. But I was wondering if I could just quickly press the shutter button halfway and focus automaticly?
I use a Canon 60D.
This works when the lens is set to AF. But I was wondering if I could do the same when the lens is set to MF.

Thank you so much for answering my question! BTW you are the one who worked on the ML??? Do you a have a finished working version what I can download??
