AF-100 and Alfa Romeo

As with the other videos, I really felt like this deserved a thread all it's own. I missed it, buried in a couple of threads.

This footage, more than anything else, has made me want this camera. I don't know if its the Alfas or the images, but it really made me smile. Things are changing. This camera is going to shake it up.

hmm can someone point me to what is good about this footage as I'm not convinced by it? I'm just not sure what I should be looking at. It's hard to differentiate between 5dmkii and AF100 here. I can see a lot more sharpness in 5dmkii at times, is there anything else I should be noticing that makes AF100 stand out above 5dmkii?

Did you download the 1080p file and watch it native?

If you don't already see... I am not sure how someone is going to explain it to you.
 
I agree about the quality. The last 30 seconds in my view show the AF-100 very well. Nice, dare I say filmic look with a lot of detail and great color.
 
NO jello that I could see especially around 1:00 where the AF100 is attached to the car!

Again wow. That is a very good sign.
 
Im not seeing any aliasing and moire. I can see it all over the 5dmkii shots - same as I get when shooting with it.

Neither can I. Aliasing is in EVERY 5D shot and as much as I try I can't find ANY with the AF100!

I want to see resolution charts!

5d looks sharp on shallow DOF scenes but if you check the last 2 shots, af100 resolves a lot more compared to the 5d mk II..
also althrough out the footage, you can see the tonal difference between the two. 5d being more contrasty
i can definitely see aliasing on the 5d. its so obvious and in your face..
