Hello I just shot and edited a short 30sec video/commercial. I am very new to shooting so I really need some feedback on the editing/cinematography/etc.

I am hosting this on my own website, and because I dont want it public just yet, the link is password protected

I have not purchased the music yet as I want to get the clients approval first.

Thanks Matt

The color and exposure look pretty good. The pacing is off.

First, use cuts instead of dissolves. Especially with the tempo of the music, those slow transitions just don't work. Also, I'm not entirely sure why you used the "sync beep" so often... again, not really great with such a slow editing pace. The clock wipe could also be sped up a bit.

Thank you C2V. I'll try it again using cuts. The "sync beep" is watermarking - I have not paid for the music yet because I want client approval first.

Not sure you need the long outtro of him getting off the bike. I would keep consistent pacing do all 3 or 4 second cuts; when you do 3 and then a 6 second shot it makes the 6 second shot seem tedious.

its a great idea for a product.

footage wise every looks great especially for shooting on such a cloudy day

I re-edited - I took out the dissolves and I tried to keep the cuts to the same length. Also, I tried to cut to the beat of the music. I certainly hope the client likes the song or I I'll have to re-edit. I hope it is much improved. Same link/pw
