Adorama rep: "we receive 7D on October 1st."

Does anyone have the phone number for Amazon USA Customer Support? I can't find it anywhere. All I see on my order is:

"We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item."

I'll give them a call if someone can tell me the number...

OK, I called Amazon (thanks for the number) and did verify that my 9/01/09 8AM pre-order was very near the top of their list. They did add that they still have no idea when their lot will be shipped from Canon but:

"We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item."

Sure hope I didn't make anyone mad by nagging them...would sure hate to slip and fall down the pre-order list. ;-)
 
i ordered mine from amazon at 9:40 am on 9-1-09 so i shouldn't be too far behind you. but just to be safe, if you could go ahead and call some more, and nag them a lot harder to get us a definate date, that would be sweet ;)

That's pretty funny! Gotta protect your own.

I'm on pre-order with crutchfield, think I was the first one there, when I called back a week later sales rep also told me there are 4 or 5 others. Any other crutchfield pre order peeps on DVXuser?

Really hope they get some 7D's on the first batch thru, but you never know ...
 
No kit option from Precision Camera? I really don't want the kit lens, but all I have are manual focus Nikons, and I figured the kit lens may be decent enough to mess around with, and also for still pics... Could use at least one actual Canon lens
 
Call them. Luis and I are both on the "kit lens" pre-order list.

And an interesting note…

Precision is offering two "kits," one that includes the 28-135 lens, and another that includes the brand new 18-135mm lens.

I need to take all my Austin homies out for a drink when I'm in town for the UT/Kansas game in November. And yes, Precision is a fine establishment and one of the places I always like to visit when I'm in Austin as Houston is an absolutely assy town for photogs.

Aw....I live in Austin, but have mine preordered through TD...so the dilemma is to get it faster and have a 18-135 lens...or save 250 bucks CB....
