C100: Adobe will fix AVCHD bug in Premiere Pro CS6

I'm having this same issue in Premiere CC 2015. Imported the c100 sd card, imported and organized the footage. Started edited weeks later and found along clip was repeating a 1 second section of audio. Deleted it and imported again, no difference. Found the .mts file and played it with VLC player and the audio sounds fine so the file itself must be in tact (which is good because my backup sd card is long formatted already). Does anyone have any ideas on fixes for this?

I've never seen this issue, but this is yet another reason to use an external recorder. 95% of my shoots are recorded on a Ninja in ProRes HQ, and the files work like butter on my Premiere CS6 timeline. I can absolutely see why people still want to record in AVCHD (stripped down rig, ease of use, etc), but AVCHD is a finicky codec, and a pain to work with in post, especially when color correcting.

I tried importing it into adobe's media encoder and transcoded it to apple pro res but the issue persisted. I finally transferred all folders and project files to another imac and that clip worked fine! I have since been working on syncing audio and video to multiple clips and found another looped audio issue with the C100. I have completed 3 projects without the happening and now twice in one project. This is ridiculous, getting a little frustrating..

I figured out a quick fix for the issue. I copied the problem clip into a different folder in finder and renamed the file and imported it into the project. Audio issue solved! If anyone else has any issues i suggest trying this to see if it solves your issue as well!

this worked - thank you good sir

Long GOP AVC is a lousy codec for editing. Transcoding to a better quality DI codec like ProRes, DNXHD/HR, or Cineform is the best choice anyway.
