Adobe Premiere Pro and RAW DNG files - action needed

Thank you for the reply Dave. It makes me at ease and confident thinking that paying up front for a full year subscription on Adobe last week was a good decision.

Very cool Dave, can you give us an idea when we might see these upgrades?

Great to hear AE effects coming to PPro. Waiting to see all of AE integrated into PPro with 100% CPU accel.
AE style sequence editing would be added to PPro, where AE sequences could be added to PPro Sequences as with Dynamic Link. So "After" Effects would go away and become "Comp Effects", etc. :)

Sorry we aren't announcing dates at this time...

Cheers

np. Would be nice to see Unsharp Mask GPU accelerated. I can write my own, however from looking at the AE/PPro SDK I didn't see any information on how to hook into the Mercury engine pipeline to access textures directly from the GPU (and pass the result back via the GPU, never hitting the CPU).

A means to write custom shaders as was possible with Pixel Bender would also be helpful (without having to write a plugin).

Send me a private message and I can hook you up with our SDK guy who can teach you.

Cheers
