ACR is great for still photos, but it's sorely lacking in secondary color correction tools. The color-binned Hue, Saturation, and Luminance sliders can be useful, but they operate on all shades at once (i.e. the "Master" channel). I find it essential to have individual control of color and dynamics in each of the Shadow, Midrange, and Highlight regions as well. If you've got After Effects as well as Photoshop and want an integrated full-feature color correction tool, I'd recommend checking out Color Finesse, which comes bundled free with After Effects.
I can't get to Adobe Raw 8.6 from Win CS6. I appears you have to have the latest CC to get this to work. If anyone knows how to access Adobe Raw from CS6, please let me know. Cheers, Pete
Hmmm... this is very interesting! I wonder if this functionality also is within Lightroom 5.5?? I don't have PS CC but I do have LR. I will check tonight and report back.
