maybe i am still in spy movie mode, first i looked up the availability on the net as a name

then I did a whois on kinetica.com and went down the list of urls in the information there, and it seems the technical contact is out of netvision in israel

What I love most about this fest idea is the strickt list of requirements for the deliverable. Anyone participating who achieves an entry is getting amazingly valuable real-world experience.

1 1/2 minutes would be too long though. The 30 seconds is more in line with national tv spots.

I love this idea. A question about the commercial, you said it just has to be featuring the logo and the company. Does this preclude you from describing a product for the length of the commercial then saying "Brought to you by Kinetica" and flash the logo?

The brand/logo has to be integral to the spot, not just tacked on, but you can bring up the logo at the end. Sometimes the brand is a surprise at the end of a commercial.

Hmm, this is VERY interesting ... and ironic. I had been planning on doing some spec commercials for a national compnany, so I'll see if I can kill two birds with one stone & make some alterations to it to include for this as well?

Same here. But that timeframe is really short and I am swamped with projects this summer. But we're kicking it around. I want to get some more commercial stuff on my reel...
