GH2 Adapting the Pentax 8-48mm f.1.0 to GH2 via 2x teleconverter? Possible?

I am thinking about adapting c-mount Pentax 8-48mm f.1.0 zoom to my GH2. I know there is a way to play with it via ETC mode, but I want to avoid using ETC mode as long as it is possible. Maybe the 2x teleconverter will be solution? Does anyone of you know is it mechanically possible to adapt Pentax 8-48mm to GH2 via 2x teleconverter? What can be pros.? and cons.? I am worried about vignetting, don't know if 2x tele will be enough to avoid vignetting? Heard that 2x teleconverter will decrease lens speed to f.2.0 ( instead of f.1.0 ) but still it will be hell'a fast 16-96mm f.2.0 zoom lens ( example- compare it to Olympus 14-35mm f.2.0 ).

I tried this, using a 2x Pentax teleconverter. Fitment was perfect, no problems whatsoever... but the lens still vignetted at just about all focal lengths and image quality degradation was severe, in addition to the 2-stop light loss.

Close focus with that lens is also something like 4 feet, also doubled with the TC, so in the end it simply wasn't practical.
