GH2 Adapting Nikkor and Sigma lenses for GH2

I hope I am correct in starting a new thread for this, because my case was so specific and I could not find answers in a forum search.

After recently purchasing a GH2 body, I just got a Sigma 28-80 AF Macro lens with a Minolta Maxxum SLR body. The manual focus is very noisy, and if I hold the lens ass-end upside down, it rotates out quickly. Seems pretty shoddy, but I think it would be good for some static extreme close-ups. I also won an auction for a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 manual focus lens, which I haven't received yet.

The question is, what mount types are these lenses? How do I find out that info? Nikon has a bunch of mount styles, and this is older glass. The Sigma, I don't even know where to start. All searching has been fruitless or just not exactly sure.

Does anyone know this information? I need to find adapters for M4/3 or GH2. Was thinking of RainbowImaging or Fotodiox brand, unless someone can think of a more reliable choice. Something under $30 really.

Sigma = $10 (with slr cam, infr flash, bag, etc)
Nikkor = $99 (*much* more important to me)

I have two pictures, one of the Nikkor and one of the Sigma.

The ebay seller couldn't even tell me what mount the Nikkor was. And the sigma in the pic is not mine, looks similar, but mine doesn't have aperature control. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The Nikon lens is obviously Nikon F-mount.

The Minolta lens is a Minolta-mount.

I use and can recommend the Voigtlander/Cosina F-mount adapter for u4/3 but it's certainly not $30.

Yeah, I've been looking at the Voigtlander, whatever mount it is, but I do not have budget for it right now. It is something that I look forward to in the near future. Besides, I will be shooting more video than stills, so intense focus is not as important.

Thank you for your input on the lenses and the adapter. I hope all is well in Tokyo, considering the circumstances in Fukushima.

I just bought a Nikon G to M43 adapter on epain from rainbowimaging who ships from NY ! excellent quality, fastest shipping I ever had ! I can recommend this seller ( I was really surprised and usually wouldnt make publicity but this seller rocks!)
The adapter is super tight and can control iris on the new Nikon lenses. It works on older AI lenses as well...
It arrived in Germany within 2 days....no idea how he does this....

I own the 4/3 adapter for Nikon G lenes (DX) with an aperture ring, also from same mentioned seller. Infinity focus works well and with the adapter I can use also my 50 1.8 D which has an aperture ring on the lens itself besides any DX lens.

You want a Minolta "AF" M4/3 adapter, not a "MD/MC" adapter which is for Minolta manual focus lenses and which won't fit. (Note that the AF adapter won't actually allow for autofocus - the lens will be manual focus when fitted to the GH2). You will need to find one with a ring to control the aperture, since you say the lens you bought has no aperture ring itself. Here's an example of what I mean: http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-Minolta-MA...804?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f0280798c

Uh oh. It looks like rainbowimaging has two different types of Nikon adapters:

RAINBOWIMAGING Nikon G AF-S Lens to Micro 4/3 Four Thirds
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TROEBM
RAINBOWIMAGING Nikon Lens to Micro 4/3 Four Thirds System

Which one works with an F mount? I went to RI's website, but when I send a help message to customer service, it returns an error. As soon as I find this info out, I make my purchase! :-D

They both work with F-mount. One works with G Series lenses (without aperture ring) and one works with. Depends on which lens you want to use.

Well, I want to use the Nikkor that was in the picture. Since there are so many different types and years of Nikon 50mm, I don't know if that lens has an aperature ring. SO you're saying this:
If I prefer my Nikkor to have manual aperature control, but doesn't have a ring, I should get the G adapter so I can have that option?
But, if the Nikkor has the ring, I should get the other one, because it doesn't matter?
