Adam Sandler's unprecedented achievement

To be honest I've never really been a big fan of the guy. I liked him in Punch Drunk Love, and liked the film. Much of the rest is just too Kitsch for me.

A lot of the time the Razzies are poking fun as much as anything. But J&J really did look like it was painful to sit through.

Never was a big Sandler fan, but I liked "Clicked". It was one of those guilty pleasures. But something about Sandler that his true fans are so dedicated to him, no matter what critics say, they always support his films.

Sorta like Dane Cook, everyone hates him accept his fans lol.

Ouch. As embarrassing as his films have become, Sandler had his day.

Dane Cook, on the other hand, is the Hephaestus of the pit of fiery unfunnyness.

I don't think it's been all bad. Jack and Jill was awful, but Funny People (although he was just in it not writing it or producing) was solid. Sandler is at his worst today when he's making his own movies. Get him a good script and a decent director and you'll have a decent or good movie. Reign Over Me was The Truman Show of his career and he actually did a good job, same with Punch Drunk Love. Just like any actor or performer, you just get in a rut of making the same crap over and over...

He'll definitely have more junk on his reel then anything else, but he gets to make his movies and have fun. :P

His performance and the film itself - punch drunk love - for my money anyway is one of the really great films. If I had that film under by belt - i would never miss a good night sleep and have a mile-smile on my face every morning when i awoke. Few people have them. I told him that once too - and from the spark in his eyes and the dime size smile that blossomed in the corner of his mouth he knew it too.
