My only reservation (as a trained actor with a degree) would be the limit to how helpful the forum would be for actors.
With cameras, technical details can be important. I've based thousands of dollars in rentals off what I've read here.
A commonly accepted pitfall of this forum is that people spend more time lurking than shooting. The reaon people lurk is that they can find out a lot by only reading, even if they aren't necessarily becoming better cameramen.
Acting, on the other hand, HAS to be hands on, and no where near the amount of growth can be achieved by reading alone. It could be potentially misleading to younger actors lurking the forums if they have a resource that they view as more beneficial than it is.
Also, having the acting forum as a place that would be used primarily by the other members to peruse for talent for their fest films puts the actors in a position to be used, while not allowing them to take away from the site as much as a different user would be able to. In addition, the forum would provide fewer and lower grade opporunities as dedicated sites and publications do (mandy, performink, etc).
By all means, go for it, but I'm afraid actors alone wouldn't be able to take advantage of the site as much as people involved in the camera dept., and could end up being taken advantage of.
