GH2 Achromat between GH2 and 50mm prime make the image wider

I was sitting here staring at my redrock m2 and the achromat sparked an idea. I pulled out my gh2 and put the achromat between the gh2 and my 50mm lens

This photo was taken with the 50mm lens directly mounted to the GH2 as I normally would have it. The distance from the ruler to the lens hood is 24 inches

This image was taken with me holding the achromat and the 50 mm lens (since I dont have the proper rings yet) There is light coming in from the gaps, but I think you get the idea

So my question is, since I got a wider image using the achromat is there something manufactured already I can use to make the images wider with similar to this set up?

Thats the premise of the metabones speedbooster adapter, they use a glass lens to make the image wider and somehow faster, apparently it gathers and bends light differently than a stock lens. I don't think it's a new technology, Im guessing lens manufacturers have used this technique for a while, but no one has ever used the idea as a stand alone adapter. At least that I know of anyways.

Chris beat me to it:)

So it sounds like DIY is possible then. Maybe i'll figure out optimal distances and get to the camera store and test out step ring combinations. The prices on the speed booster seems good for the industry, but bad for the hobiest like me.
