C100: Accidentally deleted all but 'STREAM' folder .... am I sunk?

Hey everybody! Just tooled around East Asia for a bit! The C100 blew my mind coming from an XF100.

So....FCP7. Still.

I accidentally only copied the STREAM folder full of .MTS files (thankfully) on ONE folder only (out of like 70)...

From what I am reading, it's either Clipwrap, or Handbrake + MPEG Streamclip to get it to prores for FCP. The rest can be logged+transferred in FCP.

Is this seriously the only option, STILL????

Please, for the love of.....

Sigh. I hate this. :Drogar-Angry(DBG):

There is software around that can recreate AVCHD folder structures for .mts files. "VSO ACVHD editor" is one example for PC .... can't specifically advise you for Mac and FC7 however.

If you know anyone that has access to FCP X, you can drop the .mts files into a timeline and export everything as a ProRes file for FCP 7.

just download AME Prores presets and grab the files and drag it in and wait. Simple as that.

So....FCP7. Still.

From this, I'm guessing you may not have access to Adobe - and, if you're cutting in FCP7, an Adobe solution is a little overkill to the problem of .MTS essence files disassociated from their native folder structure.

John, did you resolve this? It's really quite an easy process to rebuild your AVCHD folder/container structure using the Panasonic freebie, designed specifically to resolve this problem. One button press, aim it at the .MTS files and 30 seconds later you'll have a fresh AVCHD container. You can then just aim FCP7 Log and Transfer at that container, as you would normally do.

Cheers,

Ben.
