AC90: AC90 XLR inputs

Hi,

I'm new to this camera, in fact I'm all new to XLR and channel issues, I'm used to just pluggin in a microphone and thats that. Question, how come in the AC90 when you plug a shotgun mic like the NTG-1, to XLR input 1, in the channels you can only select one from input 1, the second I guess is the built in Mic or other sources but not Input 1.

If you want both channels to get audio from the NTG-1 you have to plug into Input 2 and then get both channels audio from input 2.

You understand it properly. If you want the same mic to go to both channels, use input 2. It's always been this way on the Panasonic cameras.
