Which camera would better resolve distant landscape details in a crisply sharp manner? I was very impressed with Dan Carter's GH3 landscape sample: https://vimeo.com/55219894
To get footage that sharp and vivid Dan used a very sharp $1100 12-35mm Panasonic zoom lens, a polarizer and he had the in-camera sharpness and vividness bumped up one point.
Barry Green's AC90 sample https://vimeo.com/54060066 looks considerably softer but ultra smooth and totally free of moire and alaising:
So I am left wondering if the AC90 could deliver sharpness and vividness comparable to Dan Carter's GH3 sample if the in-camera sharpness and vividness settings were bumped up?
Or is professional camcorder landscape footage inherently softer and less vivid and better suited for tasks like interviewing people or fast moving sports action? Thanks.
