AC160 AC160 randomly restarts

Hey Guys, i've read about this problem a couple of times but never found an answer to this.

My AC160 shuts off and restarts randomly while im shooting. This only happens when it's not recording, its not the battery and i think its not the rec button.

Would be cool if someone may knows about this and has an answer to it.
I know i have to send it to service, but having an idea what causes the problem would be sick.

What type of battery are you using? The only time I've ever seen anything like this was when using cheapo generic batteries that don't fit quite snugly enough. I know you said it's not the battery, but I'm still curious -- is it a Panasonic factory-original battery?
 
Yes im using two original panasonic batteries, the one that came with the cam and another one.
 
Then there's almost certainly something wrong and it needs to be sent back to the service center. The type of behavior you're describing is strictly unacceptable and is completely atypical of normal AC160 behavior.
 
Allright, so i have to send it to service soon. Still having one year warranty, but im using it almost every day so is kinda hard to send it in.

If anybody still knows anything just let me know!
 
I've had both my 160 and my HMC150 in to Panasonic to replace the power/record button. In my case, triggering record would restart the camera. I could use the rec button on the top of the handle, but not the one on the lens grip. I think the buttons are susceptible to high humidity.

Okay i allways use the one on the lens grip, but the camera only restarts very rare and not everytime i use the rec button. Sometimes it will work for an hour or more then it shuts off a couple of times and then it works again for some time.

I think sometimes i used it for some minutes still when it was starting to rain, so maybe its really a humidity problem.
Hope it won't take to long in service.

This is why I haven't sent mine in. Too busy to go without it. (Mine has a focus problem)
