About my film's long runtime...

Figured I'd start this since some people are already voting...

My film "we Are Not Alone" was submitted as a 6 minute AND extended DVD version with credits. Jarred chose to upload my extended version. I know there are people questioning this and I certainly was prepared to have my 6 min. version up to stay withing the guidlines of the rules.

My credits run for about a minute and a half. The DVD version itself runs about 10 seconds or so over 6 min.

I write this in hopes that it will shed some light and perhaps right itself.

Just so ya know Kaz... I wasn't questioning yours specifically... JTyner and I haven't seen any of the films yet... just started downloading what's up a little while ago... it was more a general question.

I'm sure if everything over time is credits when we watch (at least JTyner and I) we'd realize that was the extended DVD version -- for me it would be more about the actual content of the movie itself and how long THAT runs over.

Kaz,

I am sure that all this will work itself out over time and you will not find yourself in any difficulties.

Having said that and having watched your film, I simply bow in the direction of New Orleans.

And please let me know if you're somewhere else, so I can reorient the direction of my bow.

Cheers.

HA HA! That made my day! Thanks!

(BTW, I'm in N.O.)

Cool, yeah Kaz, I really liked your film... just was thrown by the long runtime (cause our DVD version is much longer than 6 min.) anyway, good luck, and I enjoyed the film!

Great film -- way to represent NOLA!

confused about the time explanation cuz your film runs 6:20 BEFORE the credits start and 7:30 with the credits ... if it was 6:00 plus credits I would say no big deal -- but that 20 seconds is problematic.

Its such a good film that that loosing whatever 20 seconds you cut probably wont hurt its chances of winning when the 6:00 vers go up -- but because its such a good film and i predict that you will be in contention for the top 3 -- we need to get the correct length up.

Thanks, guys! Hopefully, the 6 minute version will be up soon. It doesn't really lose anything, I just dropped a couple shots and paced my cuts faster.

My mistake, Jdanstan. I've had like 10 cuts of this film so far, thought that was the one. In fact, I only just completed my truly, really, final version yesterday!
