I noticed that PP change raw file, is it a good option to choose PP7 (slog2) to take picture for raw files ? or is it better to choose cine4 PP ? it looks like high light is better preserved with Slog2.

Picture profiles don't affect raw files, neither do creative styles. The active creative style affects preview thumbnails in raw stills, but not the raw image itself.

Well, it's true it doesn't affect the RAW file, but it does affect A LOT the way you capture it. Shooting stills in slog2 mode will trick you into using ISO values and exposure levels that you don't actually want to use for taking stills. When I shoot RAW stills with slog2 gamma and go by my usual exposure rules, I end up with a RAW still with the exposure completely screwed up. I always switch to Cine4 or no-PP for shooting stills.

Actually, now I do this. I have settings designed for taking still on the M placement of the dial, and three video-centric modes on the three personal memory spaces (for 4k 24fps, 1080p 60fps and 1080p 120fps).

In SLOG it will force the ISO Up, which will give you noisey images. Shoot stills in raw with no picture profile for best results there.

Also, I saw an article somewhere that sony is doing some sort of dual stage gain, where noise actually drops when it it hits the second stage. On an A7S that's at 3200. It is also the base ISO for SLOG2 on the camera.

IIRC, Cine 4 underexposes by 1 stop, and S-Log3 by around 2 stops. You'll get that in RAW. What I've been contemplating is using S-Log3 in JPG for pseudo-RAW files with good latitude for post processing. The image will come out as shown on the display, unlike in RAW. Good for cameras with a limited buffer shooting sports in more difficult lighting.
