"how can you live with that much RS hahahaha it makes my eyes bleed

That was a test, so if you shoot like normal the RS is not that bad.

It's horrendous anyway, but whether it will bother you or not depends on how you usually move your camera. For a lot of people, bad as it is, it's definitely not a problem.

Apparently FCPX and Premiere Pro have rolling shutter removal options built into the editors.

I've never used the option before, but is it any good? Any negative side effects to overall video quality?

The video below demonstrates this feature and it doesn't look too bad to my eyes.

Picked mine up yesterday and shot my color checker with some additional footage outdoors. The color science in S-Gamut3(.cine) improved drasticly vs. the "old" A7s!

Still having issues getting the images to match the fs5, has anyone else had better luck? Slog 3 with the s-gamu3.cine look much less contrasty on the a6300 and the fs5 also has a more green tint, yet the settings seem to be the same. Same issue with cinegamma 4

FS5 matches the FS7 really well when you use the same color profile but the NEX cams dont have the same color science at all. I shot a scene with some flowers to test and had a lot of work to get them close.

"The a7s II is flatter with less saturation at the same settings.
With some simple color wheel adjustments to the A7s II I can get the look very close.
I Needed to lift saturation.
I Needed to lower blacks down.
If I lower the RED Luminacity they match better. I also changed the hue in the red channel
and pushed the Yellow hue up a little.
It’s doable but you have to be familiar with color grading to get them close."

Theses are some notes I took while grading the image. As you can see it's not a simple process to match. YMMV

Dang well that might just kill the possibility of us picking up the A6300 at work then. I've noticed that it needs to be played around a bit to get them to match as I just got done coloring an interview between the two and while I was able to get them to match it took more time than they want to give me to color. This was in slog 3, might see how cinegamma 4 compares between the two but it still will probably take time to match which we don't have since we are trying to go for a more what you see is what you get look out of the camera that may only need a few adjustments.

Took the A6300 out on a shoot as a B cam to the FS5. Where shooting in ambulances so space was tight so I threw the Sony FE 28mm F2 on the A6300 and autofocus. Haven't had time to over view the footage but grabbed two stills (one from each camera) of when I was grabbing room tone with the lav (sorry you get stuck looking at me in these examples). The FS5 was out of focus on me since I was sitting in and didn't have a way to focus on myself but mainly showing these for comparing the color of the Cine 4 gamma with cine color space on each camera.

Another two frame grabs, this time from todays personal project shoot. Sony A6300 using Slog 3 with slog-gamut3.cine, and Sony F3 using S log 1. Just a quick slog to LC709A lut and some adjustments to get them looking similar. Got to say I Love my F3 but I will say the ability to jump in and frame two shots from one take with 4k is nice.

Of course it would be better if the A6300 didn't overheat about 20 mins into shooting. We were in a hot warehouse though with no ac running or air flow in Florida but it;s only going to get hotter here. Switching batteries bought us some time but still its not something I look forward to dealing with. Will have to play around with some solutions to the overheating in hot conditions as I haven't had this issue yet anywhere else.

Any guesses on whats the A6300 and whats the F3?

Oh, games, nice, let's go...
I like them both, but I'd say the close-up has nicer skin tones and textures but also less detail, less DR and more noise, so that's the F3.
I'm going mostly by color, then reinforcing my conclusion with everything else, which means that I could very easily be wrong because, in any case, they're close enough that what lens you used for each shot can matter more than which camera. Which is a huge feat for me because in the blind zacuto shootout the F3 and the Alexa were my favorites (ahead of the C300, EPIC and F65) (link).

I agree 1. F3 2. a6300. That being said I love both images. As far as overheating I shot for about 5hrs with only stopping recording for no more than a minute in between. The camera also recorded for over 30 mins but as you can probably figure out I was recording into an external recorder. I have accepted this fact and because of that I love the camera, outside of it not having a headphone jack. I don't really get not including that.

Haha no fooling you guys. Yeah the skin tone gives it away. Probably could of played around more in post to try and get them to match a bit more but boy do I love not having to mess with the f3 to muh to get a great image. Both where shot at f2 and 3200 ISO so some noise but after some little noise reduction they will Be just fine. Not bad for using a single modeling lamp in an alien bee b800 in a medium softbox and a bounce card to light a scene haha

The A6300 overheating tends to read its head in a warm room or worse on a warm sunny day. Anything black gets hot in sunlight on a warm day, and I've seen Sony cameras overheat in only 2 minutes in situations like this.
I'll be curious to see if the hacked NX500 overheats with this ridiculously high bit-rates it can use now. They are going for under $500 and video post hack is noticeably better than the A6300. Especially the 1080p stuff.

It's pretty great, actually. Yes, skin doesn't have the nice textures of the F3, but really: a $1000 camera with this size that can look this close to one of my two favorites in that blind test from 2012 together with the Alexa? And it does have more DR and sensitivity, and an external recorder may help with the sking texture as well.

Good times...

I think the a6300 image there just needs a bit more contrast in the skin tone area. That looks like the main difference to me, aside from a slight white balance difference. Easily fixed in post.
