Here are some frames from my recently acquired A1.
After some color adjustments I am pretty happy with the results from this camera.

Some are color corrected some are not.

These look just great! Did you have a polarizer on some of the shots and what was your detail setting?

Hi, just want to say that I am blown away by these images. This is my first message. I just joined DVXUSER. "OH by the way my new Canon XHA1 came in the mail yesterday". I didn't have time to play with it because I had to take my wife out of town. I tried everything I could to stay home with my new baby. Even tried to get the dog to take her.

Nice grabs, rumi. Look forward to more.

It would seem the A1 is getting some traction in the market now. I'm amazed at how many new owner posts are springing up on the forums.

Nice images, the A1 is so damn impressive.

Hey JAPWOLF, welcome to the forum! Nwk, Del is not too far from me. We should hook up one day on a project.

rumi,

could you post your scene files for these shots (or maybe give some of the parameters like sharpening, coring, H Detail freq, H-V Detail Balance)? the resolution looks better than anything i've seen from that camera...

Hi every one, thanks for the feedback. Most of these images had a polarizer filter, and I wonted to show the best looking picture I could so most of them are color corrected. Uncorrected these images look a bit flat and the colors are not really vibrant enough for my taste.

I am impressed with the A1, I would like a monitor which could show me accurate colors. One never nows out in the field what colors one really gets, so a color accurate monitor would be great asset.

Some more frames.
it.

Great pics Rumi!

Hope you have a great time over there in the sun.

I'm still debating if I should go for the HD100 or the A1. I prefer the image from the HD100 over the A1 and I like the form factor on the HD100. I wonder if there's a good shoulder pad system out there suitable for the A1, if so I would propably go for the A1.

Joni

Hej Joni, fun to see you here. HD100. A1. HMMMMM A1. HD100. oooh the choices.

its tough. I did try a shoulder rest at Birns and Sawyer with the A1 and still found it front heavy.
One would have to devise a rig like this or something like it.

Hello Coffee,
Sounds good. I have a question. When I try to power on my camera it won't come on. If I turn the nob to VCR and EXT CONT. iI gets power. I don't think anything is wrong maybe it is on the wrong setting.

your lock is on :) this happened to me too, scared the **** outa me, thought my camera was fried!

( the little button switch where the DVX's power button would be )

Ahh this is not my creation, I just found it on the net some where thought it was a funny but quite a good set up.

This is all I got.

Hello Coffee,
Disregard the message. I found why it wouldn't power on. The Standby switch was on. Yeah we should hook up someday.
