hi guys, i am still trying to figure what wrong with my A1. Every time i film something with horizantal line like bricks wall. The line between brick flicker and vibrate and it also does that with shirts and a lot of stuff with edges. It is worse when i am zooming. :crybaby: Here is a test footage www.vimeo.com/1353884

Are you new to shooting with higher end cameras?

I can't tell too much about your problem because of the bad quality of the compression. But the lines are interlace jaggies aren't they?

All footage of all frame rates (60i, 24p or f, 30p or f) have interlaced lines. This is because all of that footage is actually conformed to a 29.97 frame rate because it was telecined "in camera". What you need to do to get rid of these lines is to perform some kind of reverse telecine, which can be achieved in a program like cinema tools. This conforms your footage to 24 progressive frames.

I doubt that there's anything "wrong" with your camera.

What mode are you shooting in? HDV or SD? 60i or 24P? And where are you viewing your footage? You'll often see this "moire" effect when viewing a high resolution source on a lower resolution display, I believe it has something to do with the scaling of the image. Maybe Barry will explain it to us.
