A1 & headphone question

Can't find this in the maunal but how do u turn up the headphones without bumping up the overall mic volume? When u plug the headphones in, a small headphone icon with a volume meter pops up on the screen. How do u turn them up? It looks like it's an internal thing.
 
This baffled me too. The settings wheel on the back of the cam is the headphone volume, got a little icon next to it. Strangely omitted from the manual?
 
get outta here!?!?! Are you kidding me? That's how you boost the head phones up?

EDIT: Just tried it... lol I can't believe that's how you do that. It's not even in the freakin manual! lol
