Info: It was a peaceful day at my emeryville apartment (oakland area) until i heard 8 gunshots ring out, then saw a car all shot up and a guy bleeding in it as he drove off. This is the footage from my balcony/the street of the cops reaction to the crime. I have a press badge so i got to get in close, but i was too late, should have gotten to my camera sooner. But enjoy this montage of the wonderful place i live.

Thanks for posting. Quick question: what was the shutter speed?

My A1 arrived last week, and I've only shot with it once. I shot manual mode, 24F, 1/48th. Any footage w/ motion (I was panning slower than you) and the image stuttered. It was way more pronounced than yours. Any tips?

i was at 160 i think... either that or 120. Those are what i normally shoot at. When you say "more pronounced" do you mean sharper? It could just be because i do manual focus for a more soft out of focus look?
 
The stuttering was more pronounced.

I made the assumption that most people were shooting with the shutter set to 1/48th. Next time I go out to shoot I'll have to try some other settings.

oh, because at first i was zoomed in from a long distance, then i got up close.

no problem, its no secret i dont live in the best place. lol. Watts street is the cross street with the official pixar building, so we both live in the hood. haha. My apartment is super nice, its in the semi-hood. (well i should say the INSIDE is super nice) other than that, oakland/emeryville is slightly ghetto.
