A1, camera won't turn on. But VCR mode works

So I was filming with my A1, everything was working fine. I was filming in "M" mode and left the camera on in this mode. After a while it timed out and shot it self off for none use like it always does. So I turned the dial to off. Few hours later, went to turn it back on and none of the camera modes work. It will not turn on. However the VCR mode does work and powers up the camera.

Any idea what could be going on?

Take a look at this post from a while back. It may help you. My friend made the same mistake with his A1 and he figured out what was wrong by looking at this post.
