1. With XLR input on, and going through the menu button Under audio set up, you can choose "normal" or "line out" when would you choose one over the other, i have just been leaving it on normal.

1b. To get the cleanest sound I have been turning on the XLR mic, and switching Audio Level over to Manual and adjusting CH1 to the proper level, are there any other steps I should be doing to capture the clearest sound?

2. When I pull out the view finder Mic ATT is revealed. When would I want this off or on?

3. Also, in this same area is the White Balance preset, I have currently set to K and don't plan on adjusting this much, but if I were to start adjusting it when would I use the other two settings? Is this setting overridden when I have the Automatic White Balance on?

Thanks in advance.

1) You would online use "Line Out" if you have some kind of external preamp feeding you a signal (i.e a mixer or a mixing board). This disables the camera's own preamp.

2)Mic ATT is used in situation where the incoming signal is extremely loud and it will cut the signal by 10 db, which is very rare. Leave this off

3)For convenience, the A1 has a preset 3200K setting and 5600K setting which can be mapped to the A or B button or both. Custom WB setting can also be saved to these buttons. When AWB is on, all manual settings are ignored.

Just a clarification Huy Vu: I'm shooting a wedding tomorrow and at some point have to pull an audio feed from the DJ's mixing board while also pulling audio from a wireless lavalier mic that's draped over a speaker. When I do that, I should switch the audio to line out instead of mic?
