Went out with Nicholas Bartleet and his homemade 35mm adapter and my A1, the results were very sharp i was impressed. We also did a side by side comparison with his FX1 and my A1, but I haven't got the Fx1 footage to show you guys. Anyway here is his girlfriend in full compressed HD WMV glory.

By the way the grain is the WMV compression.

Hey, Kass, the footage is cool and sharp, but I found it a bit flat though. I lacks color and contrast. The A1 usualy displays some nice very organic footage. You have to work at it to achieve that look. And many times the best preset WITHOUT an adapter it's not the best WITH and adapter.

BTW, is this a static adapter or does it have a moving mechanism? Is he selling these adapters?...hehehe...you know I can't help it when it comes to 35mm adapters.

It looked good to me, the DOF way perfect for my taste. Yes, it was flat and dark but it was just a "test" right?

I think this footage looks outstanding. You shot at a great time of day, your subject is interesting (attractive, striking), and the dimness of it just gives it great mood.

Rawfa, dunno what you were up to, but that CC version looks shite. :)

Wow, you're a poet.

Different strokes for different blockes

Yes it was just a test and magic hour is my favourite time to test. One should always test in tough conditions. I thought it turned out okay.

1. It turned out flat because it's a WMV compression! And I live in the UK.
2. I don;t do CC, to hardly anything at all, I hate CC. Sorry.

That footage looked awesome...

U know, I do the same thing with my girlfriend (who I didnt see on v-day like an idiot)... I think she gets annoyed when I do it...

But that footage looked great... I'd like to know how you made that homemade adaptor and what settings on the cam you used...
